A little bit about us (from one of the company owners):
My Great Grandmother, Esther Spitz, used to teach rug hooking, make soap and make home made noodles. She was known to take in sailors for a hot meal on holidays and we all grew up learning things about life and love from Grandma Spitz. She was a woman who was blessed with the gift of teaching and knew about “balance in life” before it was a buzz phrase.

People often wonder about company names. Well….. Cedar Creek gets its name from the creek that ran through the back of the farm where I grew up. The farm was a place where wonderful childhood memories were created – a place where we wandered in the woods – a place where we played in the hayloft and learned to ride – and most of all – a place where we learned work ethics. The farm is where we learned about life, values and what it means to be a family.

Eight years ago we started with Grandma’s recipe and sat on the back deck mixing our first batch of soap feeling like witches with a pot of something magical. It was magical and medicinal all in one. Over the years we have grown at a pace that has allowed us to remain environmentally friendly while manufacturing over 22 scents of castile soaps using pure essential oils, and a full line of all natural bath and body products as well as a line of all natural repellents for the outdoors.

Some of our customers think it’s odd that we are a licensed pesticide manufacturer in the state of Wisconsin since we started the company making bath and body products. Well, not wanting to add to landfill, we had to do something with the ends of our soap loaves other than throw them away.

So...Plant Saver all natural Deer Repellent was born! By combining the byproduct of a local meat packing plant — bone meal — and our byproduct —soap— we came up with an exceptional deer repellent that lasts six months and really works! Plus - it’s biodegradable! What more could you ask for? Now we sell so much Plant Saver, that we actually make batches of soap just for the deer repellent.

Our Plant Saver all natural Deer Repellent is the product that took us to a new level in 2006! That’s because at Cedar Creek Products we are always thinking outside the box.
